TravelCalc is designed with a "Privacy First" philosophy. All data you enter into the application (including trip details, expenses, and participant names) is **stored locally on your device**. We do not collect, upload, or store your personal data on any external servers.

You can use all features of TravelCalc without creating an account or providing any personal information (such as your name, email, or phone number).

 

## 2. Permissions

 

To provide specific features, TravelCalc may request the following permissions:

* **Local Network / Bluetooth**: Used solely for the "Nearby Sharing" feature to sync trip data with other devices in close proximity. No data is transmitted to us or third parties.

* **Camera (Optional)**: If used, it is only for scanning receipt QR codes or attaching photos to records. All images remain on your device.

 

## 3. Third-Party Services

 

TravelCalc may use third-party APIs to provide currency exchange rates. These services do not receive any of your personal data or expense details; they only receive a request for the current exchange rate of specific currency pairs.

 

## 4. Data Security

 

We provide optional "Sensitive Data Authentication" (Face ID, Touch ID, or Passcode) to help you secure your local data from unauthorized physical access to your device.

 

## 5. Data Deletion

 

Because all your data is stored locally, you have complete control over it. You can delete specific records within the app, or delete all data by uninstalling the application from your device.
